Fighting In The Name of Jesus Christ, The People and My Freedom!

MY STATEMENT TO THOSE WHO VOTED AND PUT THERE FULL TRUST IN ME, AND TO ALL OF MY SUPPORTERS!

 My attorney’s have instructed me not to discuss anything about the (2) cases pending against me in the Riverside Court. I will abide to their request, although I don’t agree fully because the facts are not being reported in the “THE PRESS ENTERLIES” I will abide to their request.

My current situation is nothing more and nothing less then ” Political Assassination” to the fullest degree! In this time and age “Christians”  and those who believe in “God” are being attacked in record numbers as we approach “The End of Days”. My only true crime I’ve committed is severing my “Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and The People of Moreno Valley”  If you even want to call that a crime, but “Satin and his followers that are many see that as the biggest crime one can commit. When I arrived to Moreno Valley with my family back in 2003 the first thing I heard by my new neighbor who was a resident of Moreno Valley since 1988 said to me and I never forget it. He said why did you move to this city and I replied I really don’t know why the Lord just made it my path and he replied that’s funny because the Devil controls and his presence is all over our city and he ended by saying “good luck to you and your family”. As time went by I noticed that my neighbor was not kidding when he made those statements to me. That’s why in 2007 I decided to run for council and do something about it! Little did I know back then that it would lead me to my very own real life story of “David and Goliath”. For those of you who believe that ” Jesus Christ is your Savior” you know what I’m talking about! Our Lord has a plan for you and he has a plan for me, and I will continue to follow his plan even if it costs me my “Freedom or Life” doing it! I want to assure you that all (16) allegations that is being brought against me are false and untrue as my “LORD” is a witness to what I did do and didn’t do. I pray for all my enemies and those that attack me that the Good Lord forgives them for when they attack me they attack Jesus and his name. I will continue to fight! In the name of “Jesus” and for The People of Moreno Valley. I want to thank as those who sent there will wishes and prayers for the Rios family thank you so much and God bless you for doing so. I have a huge battle in front of me, but with your support and Jesus on my side it’s not over till Christ says it’s over. A scripture in the bible that I recommend that is almost identical to my current situation that my life is going through is Psalms chapter 35 versus 1 through 28 read it I think you’ll enjoy it. May God forgive all those who do the devils work and those who persecute the innocent on  behalf of the devil. May God Bless us all in his holy name “Jesus Christ”.

Declaration of War Has Been Declared by “The Special Interest” Against Mike Rios, His Family, and The People of Moreno Valley!!!

“Declaration of War” very harsh words, but that is exactly what the “Special Interest” have done by going after the true voice and only voice for the people of Moreno Valley. The “Special Interest” have done many things against me to try their best to discredit me in any way possible to try to stop me from returning full power back to the people of Moreno Valley. Here are just a few of the things they have done and FAILED!!!! 

(1) Falsely accusing me of being a (Child Molester) during the 2010 campaign by the way (8) people ran and I came in first place! Special Interest FAILED!!!!  (2) Falsely accusing me that I had (FELONIES) on my record! I took a Department of Justice fingerprint background check through the MVUSD no criminal history or felonies! Special Interest FAILED AGAIN!!!! (3) Falsely accusing me of (Voter Fraud) no evidence of facts have ever been presented to the District Attorney or in any court of law! Special Interest FAILED AGAIN!!!! (4) Special Interest have decided that since there lies and deceit are having no effect on me they have crossed the line breaking the “CODE OF ETHICS” and deliberately going after members of my family! This is where the “Special Interest” have declared war against the voice of the people and for that I must not lose sight that I will not rest until full power is restored back to the people! I will never do what the “Special Interest” want from me resign, give up, quit, go away, and say screw the people! Never will that happen I will never bow down to the “special interest” as long as I live and I only answer to the “People” and that will never change “EVER”. One more thing “Special Interest” Mayor Richard Stewart, Council members Jessie Molina and Marcelo Co voted to block me from running for city council in Nov 2012. Guess what you can block me, but you can’t stop me so to all (3) of you KISS MY ASS you scared little boys Mike Rios is back and I’m taking “NO PRISONERS”!!!!! May God have mercy on all of you for the sins that you have committed against “The People of Moreno Valley”!          

At last nights council meeting  I officially announced that I am running for city council this year! whether it be by recall or moving whatever I do I will run this year! As always I will fight a war, but a war that I can not lose and will not lose! I may not play dirty, I may not play with the spacial interest, and certainly I’m not a puppet or a yes man. What I do have is “THE PEOPLE OF MORENO VALLEY” and to me that’s all I need, and with GOD’s will we will prevail and power will be restored back to you the “PEOPLE”.

One Moreno Valley school trustee claims the changes deliberately cut him out of a council race

Council members approved a Moreno Valley redistricting map that left a school board member accusing them of playing politics.

After two hours of discussion Tuesday, the City Council voted 3-2 to adopt a slightly revised version of a plan, known as No. 9, which a group of residents submitted. Robin Hastings and Bill Batey dissented.

Mike Rios, who the voters elected to the Moreno Valley Unified School Board a year ago, cried foul. He asked the council to eliminate plan No. 9 and support either of the other two proposals. Rios lives in District 3 and wants to run for mayor in November 2012 when Hasting’s seat is up for re-election.

However, the council adopted a redistricting plan that reassigns Rios’ home at Ironwood Avenue and Tuscola Street to District 2, represented by Mayor Richard Stewart. That seat won’t be on the ballot for another two years.

A group of residents, including Victoria Baca, one of the incumbents Rios beat in the at-large school board election, prepared proposal No. 9. Rios claims that they deliberately removed him from District 3 to delay his council run.

At the public hearing, Baca’s brother, Chris Baca, denied that Rios’ address was a factor in his group’s boundary changes.

Victoria Baca lives in District 5, where Batey’s seat will be up for election next November. Baca said she’s undecided about running for council. She called Rios’s claims of gerrymandering “ludicrous,” saying she thought he lived on the other side of Redlands Boulevard. “He was not taken into consideration.”

Rios said he’d been waiting four years for the chance to run for City Council. ” To make me wait another two years is unfair.”

Two weeks ago at a council meeting Stewart initially raised the issue of Rios’ removal from District 3 in plan No. 9 as ” the elephant in the room”. Even so, he voted for a modified version of the proposal that still placed Rios in District 2.

In a phone interview Wednesday, Stewart said that the location of political aspirants’ homes was a “non-issue.”

 

My thoughts on this issue, and to my supporters and to the voters who put their trust in me.

 

Yes they did eliminate me from being able to run in the November 2012 elections as it stands now!, but just because they eliminated me remember they haven’t killed me ether I’m alive and still kicking.

 

This is only a minor set back and It is definitely not the end of the world. I do have several options at my disposal. I will explore and analyze each and every one of them under a microscope. We still have time and there is no rush for me to take any type of action at this time.

 

I want to assure to all of my supporters and those who placed their trust in me. That I will not rest until full power of governance in Moreno Valley is restored back to where it belongs “You” ,” The People.”

 

I also want to thank all of you who sent me emails and phone calls for your heart felt well wishes and support directed to me and my family. May God Bless you, Moreno Valley, and our great country The United States of America.

“WE THE PEOPLE” Do your local officials even know what that means?

Everyday little by little our country is falling apart right before our eyes. Unemployment has risen to record numbers. Collage graduates can’t find work. Food prices have doubled in the past year. Our government can’t make it’s day to day obligations. Our economy has gone flat to the point that even a quick fix won’t turn things around, unless you believe that leprechauns are for real and a pot of pure gold will be left at your front door step then good luck.

As for most of us we know something is seriously wrong, but just don’t know how to go about fixing the problem. When it comes to elections the general public cares more about a presidential election then a local election. Nothing is wrong with that, but at night do you leave your back gate to your backyard unlocked? If someone threw a garbage bag full of trash into your backyard would you pick it up and dispose of it”or” would you just look at it and ignore it? Most people care about there backyard on it’s appearance, garden, pool, bbq, a place to relax etc. If you care for your backyard as I do, then view your city as your backyard and let me ask you this. Do you like to see graffiti, trash, pot holes, eyesores, run down building and property, drug dealers, gang members, low income housing being built likes there’s no tomorrow. If not then it’s time to take care of your backyard and make sure that your backyard doesn’t become an eyesore.

But I don’t even have the time to tend to my backyard let alone viewing the whole city as my backyard? If this is your mentality then no wounder why our country has been downgraded and our city leaders have no vision, but only that of the special interests that will take us decades for us to ever become and all american city to be proud of. Unless we start to tend to our backyards, and take action! Let’s face it “we” can’t control what happens throughout the country, but we can certainly control what happens in our backyard and our city by voting for people who truly represent the people of Moreno Valley.

When I ran for city council back in 2008, and for School Board in 2010 I made a promise to the people of Moreno Valley that I would represent them and “NOT” the special interest groups that control our elected officials. A promise I have kept “and” a promise I will never brake. My trade mark slogan is “FOR THE PEOPLE “BY” THE PEOPLE”. “THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!” NO BUTS, IF’S, OR AND’s ABOUT IT!!! I must say this type of belief and thinking has not in the least bit made me popular or helped me in the inner circle of politics. But if you ask me “I DON’T GIVE A RAT’s ***”.  I’m not here to please a few, I’m here to please the masses that = “THE PEOPLE of MORENO VALLEY”.

You elected me into office in 2010 and sent a clear and effective message to the “Special Interest” by placing me in 1st place! This not only caught them off guard, but sent shock waves that they never experienced before. Now you better believe their pissed off, and they will be looking for pay back. They have been attacking me on the internet for the past (2) years using a dimwit little “HITLER”  type guy to try to discredit me in anyway ,shape, or form. Thanks to you all the “Special Interest” have been able to accomplish is nothing. In fact the more and more “they” attack me the more it helps me for some odd reason it’s like bad publicity in my case turns out to be good publicity. So I say keep it coming, and don’t stop trying because in all essence your attacks are having a direct positive affect that I can’t afford to lose, and it keeps my name out their. We all know I don’t have the “BIG MONEY” behind me so every bit helps. So keep it coming, and keep thinking I’m the “All Around Bad Guy”, or at least what your trying to portray me out to be.

At this past council meeting Aug 16,2011 (study session) I spoke to the council what was the true meaning of representing the people, and what it meant. They all paid attention, but did they really? I don’t know, what I do know is I made my point loud and clear. I spoke to them about having a city elected mayor, and reminded them that 83% of voters on the Nov 2010 elections voted in favor to have a elected mayor. In a prior post I explained to you “THE PLAN”, and what will and is going to happen. What I didn’t tell you is that we have (3) council members that do in fact want, and agree with the public in having a directly elected mayor. The issue is that they are afraid of “Special Interest” consciousnesses that will follow from doing the right thing. You must remember that politics is a funny game, but a funny game I don’t play that separates “ME” from “THEM”. My only hope is to try and convince the (3) council members in doing the right thing for the “People of Moreno Valley”. In doing this it will not be an easy task in any way shape of form to convince the (3) council members in doing the right thing, but a task that must be taken and a task that I will take on. The “Special Interest” may have the power and money, but there are (2) things they don’t have “The People” and Mike Rios! And I’m willing to take that gamble head on!

Again I encourage you to attend August 23rd, 2011 council meeting at 6:30pm, and let your voice be heard because lets face it, they didn’t hear you in the Nov 2010 elections even though 83% percent of you voted for an elected mayor. Always remember “YOU” are “THE PEOPLE” who “WE” must “SERVE” without “THE PEOPLE” we have “NOTHING”.

DROPOUT RATE 24.1 PERCENT FOR 2009/2010 YEAR “UNACCEPTABLE” IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD.

“Who’s to blame” Poor Leadership, Board of Education, Upper Management, Lower Management, Staff, Teachers, Budget Cuts, Unions, Parents or Current Economic Crisis? You can do all the finger-pointing you want, but the bottom line is we are all responsible in one way or another.

Now the question is what are we going to do about it. In past years the district had the mentality of just sweeping it under the rug, and hoping it would just go away. Well that concept hasn’t worked out to well now has it. The bottom line our children’s education is at stake, it can’t be ignored or swept under the rug anymore.

In the short (8) months since I took office some major changes have been put in play to put this district back on the right track. I introduced a (1) year contact “vs” the (3) year contract of  all upper management positions to the” Board of Education” they did not support this idea, but agreed to a (2) year contact instead. Which was a major milestone in the least, and I will soon try again for the (1) year contract, but Rome wasn’t built in a day and The Board of Education needs to step out of the box to accept new changes that are disparately needed to change our course in the right direction.

Since I took office we have hired a new Superintendent, Chief Financial Officer, Asst. Superintendent of Ed Services, Directors, Principals and Asst. Principles to assist, and help in the turn around of the MVUSD. This was not an easy task, but one that was in need, and was acted upon The Board of Education.

Since I took office ” I” went head “to” head with the district’s unions in a battle of fairness, and understanding that our students came first before anyone else, and that the gravy train ride was over! It took a while to sink in, but in the end the unions stepped out of the box and up to the plate, and hit a home run in putting our children’s education “first”.

When I came into office who can forget the “HIGH SCHOOL SITE #5″ issue that seemed to drag on “forever” well not forever just many years, but it felt like it was forever. The people spoke, and the majority didn’t like either site that the previous board agreed to. So I presented a third option that the people embraced and accepted. The Board of Education on a 4 to 1 vote agreed with the public’s outcry and choose the third option. Now that doesn’t mean this issue is over, but it now puts us on the right track to select a site suitable for our students. The goal is to have a site chosen by the end of the year or sooner.

These are just a few of the changes that have taken place since I came on board. There is still a lot of work ahead of us, and challenges with budget cuts, and current world events. We must think outside of the box instead of within. We must as parents be more involved in our children’s education to help them succeed in life. We in the Moreno Valley Unified School District must provide the best in customer service to our students, because in all essence our students our are customers. We must never allow people to say it can’t be done. If you don’t try you can never fail, and if you fail you must try again to succeed in your goal of achievement.

(CHANGE) is a simple word that has a strong meaning, and one that I take very seriously to the point that I apply it to my life everyday as an elected official of the people. The Moreno Valley Unified School District is currently undergoing many changes, and changes that will change the course of our district to the road of success for our students. I feel confident that if we all work together we will achieve the best for our students and our children’s education.

I ask if you have a special talent or ideas that can help out our students and district please don’t hesitate to let me know or contact our main office. Together we can overcome this crisis, and do our best to make sure our students have a future to look forward to. As I stated before “Rome” was not built in a day, but change has arrived, and change will manifest itself to the point that one day the Moreno Valley Unified School District will and can become the envy of all school district’s by applying ourselves for that goal, and never loosing site that this is for our children.                                              

                          

Moreno Valley: To Have A Mayor “Or” Not To Have A Mayor. That Is The Million Dollar Question?

Well if I remember correctly 83% percent of Moreno Valley voters in the year 2010 marked their ballots indicating that they wanted a directly elected mayor for the city. You would think with that much of a majority it would be a done deal right? Well guess again, special interest controlled puppet elected officials will, and wont give what the people want or need if it doesn’t fulfill their needs or interest. Something like “THE NEW WORLD ORDER” agenda.

I on the other hand as an elected official I believe that one who is elected by the people should represent the people, and “NOT” the special interest or lack for a better word ” THE ELITE”. It’s time that those in office to put the word “PEOPLE” before everything else, and they must never forget who put them their in the first place “THE PEOPLE”.

In regards to having a directly elected mayor it is my understanding there will be none therefore in all do respect your vote in Nov 2010 meant nothing! That is why I am asking the general public to stand up, and say enough is enough, and were not going to take it anymore! This item will come up for discussion at the Moreno Valley City Council Chambers on August 16th and August 23rd at 6:00pm. Show up and let your voice be heard.

“THE PLAN” of redistricting will go down as follows: (1) Their will be no new council seat added. (2) By not adding a new council seat their is no need for a directly elected mayor. (3) We will remain at (5) districts as we are now with the exception that all districts will increase in size “only” district (3) will decrease in size, therefore in all essence all will remain the same business as usual status quo.

Here is my problem with “THE PLAN”. (1) The most obvious it has “SPECIAL INTEREST’ written all over it. (2) With a city this size, and with the increase  in population within the past ten years we are primed and ready for a new council seat and a directly elected mayor. (3) All “TAXPAYER MONIES” that the City of Moreno Valley is currently spending on redistricting will be a total waste if a new district isn’t created now, come 2014 we will have to do this all over again at the taxpayers expense when we can do it right now. (4) At a school district level we can’t afford to pay our superintendent $400,000 per year plus benefits. With that being said if the council found the money to pay that kind of amount to their upper management, they can certainly find the money to pay a new council member and mayor not to mention all the money they saved by sticking it to the fine people of Moreno Valley, and taking their independence away during the 4th 0f July this year! Shame, Shame, Shame on them. (5) Most importantly you “THE PEOPLE” voted for it by a margin of 83% percent to 17% percent last year enough said the people have spoken now our elected officials must listen, and take action by doing what the people asked for it’s “THE AMERICAN WAY”, and the right thing to do.

In closing don’t forget to mark your calenders for Aug 16 & Aug 23, 2011 @ 6:00pm. Location Moreno Valley City Hall in the  ”Council Chambers”. Remember you are “THE PEOPLE” we serve, and who we answer to. Without you we would have no one to represent “or” be in office for!
